Terms of Use

Effective Date: July 3, 2025

By accessing or using the EthOne platform, including its website, browser extension, smart contracts, and associated services (collectively, “EthOne”), you (“you,” “user,” or “participant”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the platform.

1. Introduction

EthOne is an open infrastructure protocol built on Ethereum. It enables users to participate in a decentralized proving network, interact with smart contracts, and optionally acquire and use a native token ($ETHO) as part of protocol incentives. EthOne is not a financial institution. It does not offer custodial services, investment products, or fundraising mechanisms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have full legal capacity to use EthOne. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of EthOne complies with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.

3. No Custody, No Guarantees

EthOne is a non-custodial protocol. At no point does EthOne or its contributors take control of your digital assets, wallets, or funds. You retain full responsibility for safeguarding your private keys and securing your Ethereum accounts. We do not guarantee uptime, reward amounts, token prices, or performance. All system interactions are best-effort and driven by public smart contract logic.

4. Use of $ETH and $ETHO

4.1 Use of ETH

You may interact with Ethereum contracts by sending ETH for example, to:

  • Register your wallet as a Master

  • Convert ETH into Energy

  • Trigger on-chain proof submissions

These ETH transactions are not payments for services. They are functional transactions within a decentralized system and not governed by commercial service terms. No ETH sent to EthOne contracts constitutes a purchase, subscription, or license.

4.2 Acquisition of $ETHO EthOne does not directly offer or sell the $ETHO token. Instead, users may acquire $ETHO through decentralized liquidity pools operated by third-party protocols (e.g., Uniswap). These integrations may be accessible via the EthOne user interface solely for convenience purposes.

EthOne may contribute liquidity to such decentralized protocols in a transparent manner, in accordance with the token distribution plan (tokenomics) and published vesting schedule. All such activities are conducted entirely on-chain. Due to the involvement of third-party platforms and the decentralized nature of the underlying protocols, EthOne does not guarantee or make any representations regarding token pricing, liquidity, or trading activity.

When using the interface to interact with decentralized exchanges, users engage directly with third-party smart contracts. EthOne is not a counterparty to these transactions, does not act as an intermediary, and does not control the execution or outcome of any token swaps.

Users are solely responsible for their actions and should conduct their own risk assessment before engaging in any token-related activity.

5. Protocol Mechanics and Virtual Terms

Certain platform terms such as:

  • Prover

  • Estimated Reward

  • Energy

  • Master Wallet

...are defined solely within the logic of the smart contracts. They are not representations of legal rights, entitlements, or ownership of anything outside of the protocol. They do not represent:

  • Real-world currencies or financial claims

  • Tradable points or vouchers

  • Virtual goods or services

Participation in the proving network is voluntary and does not confer any promise of return.

6. Risk Disclosure

Using EthOne involves significant risk. You acknowledge that:

  • The price of $ETHO is volatile and set by open market conditions

  • Participation does not guarantee any specific return or reward

  • Gas costs and Energy usage may fluctuate

  • Smart contracts may contain bugs or vulnerabilities

  • Regulatory treatment of crypto-assets varies by jurisdiction

You use EthOne at your own risk. You should not use the platform with funds you cannot afford to lose.

7. No Investment Advice or Financial Services

EthOne does not offer financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Nothing on the platform constitutes an offer or solicitation to sell securities or financial products. Participation in proving, staking ETH, or holding $ETHO is not an investment, and should not be interpreted as such.

8. Intellectual Property

EthOne is a public infrastructure protocol. Code is open-source unless otherwise stated. Documentation, interfaces, branding, and UX assets may be subject to copyright and may not be copied, reused, or altered without permission.

9. Privacy

Please refer to the EthOne Privacy Notice for details on what data we collect and how it is used. EthOne does not sell personal information and minimizes data collection where technically feasible.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EthOne contributors disclaim all liability for:

  • Any loss of funds

  • Smart contract bugs

  • Failed transactions or downtime

  • Errors in frontend display of data

  • Price movements of $ETHO or any other token

All services are provided “as is” with no warranties, express or implied.

11. Amendments

We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. Any material change will be communicated via our official channels. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
